Now Open: 2024 Literary Awards

The Ninth Letter Literary Awards will be open for submissions March 1 – April 30. We accept previously unpublished poetry, creative nonfiction, and fiction. One winner in each genre will receive $1000, print and online publication, and bragging rights!

This year’s guest judges are Sara Borjas (poetry), Lena Valencia (fiction), and Kristen Millares Young (creative nonfiction).

Each submission comes with a free 1-year subscription for U.S. entrants and a free copy of the fall/winter 2024 issue for international entrants. Submissions are read anonymously. Read past winners, and send us your best.

Our web edition is open for submissions with the theme “Caretaking” until March 31!
