"The Snotgreen Sea," written by Andrew Ervin, appeared in the "Where We're At" section of Ninth Letter volume 4, number 2, our Fall/Winter 2007-8 issue. This audio version was produced as part of a collaborative project between Ninth Letter and the Department of Theatre at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign.
Andrew Ervin, a former assistant editor for Ninth Letter, is currently the Southern Review Resident Scholar at Louisiana State University. His first book, Extraordinary Renditions: Three Novellas, is forthcoming, and his short stories have appeared in Fiction International (#39 and #40), Hobart online, Oxford Magazine, Prague Literary Review, Chicago Noir (Akashic Books, 2005), and Mythtym (PictureBox, 2008). He has reviewed books for many publications, including The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Washington Post, and The Believer.
