Janelle DolRayne is a former poetry editor of Copper Nickel and the current production editor at The Journal. She lives in Columbus, Ohio where she is getting her MFA at The Ohio State University. Her poems and essay have appeared or are forthcoming in The Laurel Review, The Indiana Review, Ninth Letter, The Collagist, Parcel, Interrupture, and the 2013 Best of the Net snthology, among others. She is the recipient of an Academy of American Poets Prize and the Vandewater Poetry Award. She is originally from Coal Creek Canyon, Colorado.

Blaine Ely graduated from Western Kentucky University in May of 2014. He is currently a second-year MA student in creative writing at Auburn University, where he teaches composition and works as an assistant editor for Southern Humanities Review.

Raena Shirali lives in Charleston, South Carolina, where she teaches English at College of Charleston. She recently received her Masters in Fine Arts in poetry from The Ohio State University. Her poems and reviews have appeared or are forthcoming in Banango Street, Better: Culture & Lit, The Boiler, Boston Review, Fogged Clarity, Four Way Review, Gulf Coast, The Journal, Muzzle Magazine, Ninth Letter, The Nervous Breakdown, No More Potlucks, Ostrich Review, Phantom Limb, Pleiades, Quarterly West, and Winter Tangerine. Her honors and awards include the 2014 Gulf Coast Poetry Prize, recognition as a finalist for the 2014 Ruth Lilly Fellowship, and a 2013 “Discovery”/Boston Review Poetry Prize. Most recently, she was awarded a 2016 Pushcart Prize for her poetry.

David Winter wrote the poetry chapbook Safe House (Thrush Press, 2013). His poems have also appeared or are forthcoming in Atlanta Review, Four Way Review, Forklift, Ohio, Harpur Palate, Meridian, Muzzle, and Ninth Letter. He recently received his MFA in Creative Writing from The Ohio State University, where he currently serves as a poetry editor for The Journal. He has also worked extensively with the Literacy Narratives of Black Columbus Project to document the writing and lives of African-American poets.
